1st Weeks of December

We are so honored by the generosity and the excitement for Treasured Vessels Foundation that we have decided to incorporate updates for you to see how you are making a direct impact.

This past week we participated in #GivingTuesday for the very first time! The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation offered to match donations given that day. It was very successful as we had a goal of $500 and raised $565! Thank you to all who donated that day- we are beyond grateful for your generosity!

In addition to this excitement, Alicia had the opportunity to speak at the Allen/Fairview Chamber of Commerce. After discussing the mission of TVF, Aaron Pearson, an attendee, offered his skill set in marketing to help TVF. He is the managing director of “Bit Branding”, and he wants to implement a marketing plan to renovate the TVF website and provide tools to help TVF become a recognized trafficking organization.

Alicia has met with “Identifying Victims of Child Sex Trafficking” in Collin County this week. Child Protective Services, the District Attorney of Collin County, and individuals from the Children Advocacy Center came together to create and discuss strategies for identifying child victims. These plans will greatly benefit the children in the future as there will be a process in place to be able to have them placed in treatment as quickly as possible.

Alicia will also meet with Dr. Cortney Baker Ed.D, M.S., CCC/SLP to discuss the case statement for TVF which will enable us to build our business plan. Dr. Baker is not only a personal friend, but she is also very passionate about the mission. We are blessed to have her alongside us!
